AJYCP dharna

Dibrugarh, Aug. 6: Around 500 supporters and workers of Dibrugarh district committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) staged a threehour dharna from 11am in front of the OIL field headquarters office in Duliajan yesterday in support of various demands.

Fire

Guwahati: A fire broke out in a kitchen on the sixth floor of Sanjivani Hospital at Maligaon on Friday morning. Leakage from an LPG cylinder is said to have sparked off the fire.

Bomb scare

Guwahati: An unattended motorcycle parked on the roadside triggered a bomb scare at Narengi on Friday.

Body found

Dhubri: The body of a woman was recovered from NH 37 at Choutaki, in Bongaigaon district, on Wednesday night.
