Guha enters last eight

Unseeded Shukrit Guha defeated sixth seed Ishank Ravi from Bihar 4-2, 4-1 in the boys’ singles under-18 category to enter the quarter finals of the Dalhousie Institute Vision Search AITA Talent Series 2010, at the red clay courts of Dalhousie Institute.

Shukrit Guha, with a high-paced game full of strong forehands, showed Ravi the door in just 50 minutes. In the boys'under-14 singles matches, almost all the seeded players went through to the next round.

Badminton

The high court, on Wednesday, stayed the Registrar of Societies’ order putting on hold the AGM of the West Bengal Badminton Association and also directed them to add Choten D. Lama (IAS) as respondent with direction to serve notice upon her to appear before the court on August 5.
