RU grants affiliation to seven institutes

Ranchi, July 1: Ranchi University (RU) today granted affiliation to seven institutes and issued no objection certificates for three institutes.

The institutes granted affiliation by the varsity include Metas Adventist College (Bariatu), Nursing College of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), RTC Institute of Technology (Ormanjhi), RVS College of Engineering and Technology (Jamshedpur), Ram Tahal Choudhary College (Ormanjhi), Ursuline Women B Ed College (Lohardaga) and Shine Abdur Razzaque Ansari Institute of Health Education and Research (Irba).

While the RTC Institute of Technology and RVS College of Engineering and Technology offer four-year engineering degree course, Shine Abdur Razzaque Ansari Institute of Health Education offers B Ed and B.Sc nursing courses. Ursuline B. Ed College caters to girls who want to become teachers in schools. It offers one-year B. Ed course. The other institutes offer degree courses.

Pro vice-chancellor V.P. Sharan said the decision to grant affiliation to the institutes was taken during the meeting of the RU Syndicate, which was chaired by vice- chancellor A.A. Khan.

This apart, the RU Syndicate also granted no objection certificates to Uday Memorial B. Ed College (Neori), Phatma Teachers Training College (Kanke) and M.D. course in Community Medicine at RIMS.
