| Philosophy of life in frames |
|
Passion for photography is the only common factor uniting the motley group of 11 amateur artists who are hosting their third exhibition of photographs. The show captures the free-wheeling spirit of these photographers, who are engaged in professions as diverse as law and banking to medicine and public service. Having set out with their lenses, they captured anything that caught their fancy — be it a foggy lake in Alaska or a dilapidated old house in north Calcutta; their varying subjects, concepts and interests offering strange yet valuable insights into the world around us. The show features rare frames from members’ photo expeditions in Alaska, Mexico, Kenya, Bhutan, Singapore and different parts of India, including Calcutta. Participants: Abhijit Dey, Arup Halder, Ashoke Ghosh, Asis Sanyal, Dhiman Banerjee, Joydeep Mukherjee, Kushal Gangopadhyay, Ranjan Sen, Samar Mondal, Subhrajit Basu (a photograph by him appears here) and Sukanta Sinha.
