Imphal, June 10: L. Parikhomba Singh swam his way to the gold in the 50-metre freestyle of the 26th State-Level Age Group Aquatic Championship which got under way at Khuman Lampak Aquatic Centre here today, says our sports correspondent.

He clocked 00:29.60 seconds for the win while Ksh. Clington Singh took the silver with a timing of 00:31.29 seconds. M. Onida had to settle for the bronze with his timing of 00:32.91 seconds in the sub-junior category.

In the sub junior 100-metre backstroke for boys, N. Abhinash with a timing of 01:35.77 seconds won the gold.
