Health tips for SCCI members

Jamshedpur, June 8: The not-so-old members of the oldest trade body of Kolhan, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), today lent a ear to health tips instead of talking business.

Tata Motors Hospital today organised a programme to inform SCCI members about latest facilities of the hospital at Chambers Bhavan.

Addressing the members of the trade body, general manager (medical services) of the hospital V.P. Singh apprised them of the facilities and treatments available at the hospital.

The senior doctor pointed out their achievements in paediatric surgery. “We recently conducted a risky but successful surgery on a new-born weighing 1.3kg, depending on the facilities available at our disposal,” said Singh, adding that average weight of a newborn was 2.8kg.

He went on: “If a dedicated team of doctors is our strength, the state-of-the-art equipment give us an edge on our competitors. Nursing care is another area where we excel. I have been to several other hospitals in Ludhiana, Vellore and elsewhere in the country, but have never come across such an excellent nursing care like at Tata Motors Hospital.”

He also shed light on the executive health check-up packages offered at the hospital at a competitive fee.

Another senior doctor M. Ali advised the businessmen to change their lifestyle to avoid diseases. “One should walk briskly or jog for at least 30 minutes a day to keep diseases like diabetes at bay,” he said.
