Mumbai: The Indian squad for next month’s Asia Cup in Sri Lanka will be picked in Delhi on June 7, BCCI sources said on Saturday. The national selection panel, headed by Krishnamachari Srikkanth, is expected to name a full squad after resting several senior players for the ongoing tri-series in Zimbabwe. The four-nation meet is to be held in Dumbulla with hosts Sri Lanka clashing with Pakistan in the opening tie on June 15. Bangladesh are the fourth side.

Kerala captain

Thiruvananthapuram: Sreesanth was Saturday replaced by all-rounder Raiphi Vincent Gomez as captain of Kerala for the 2010-11 season although the temperamental pacer was named in the list of probables.

RCA trouble

Mumbai: President of the Sri Ganganagar District Cricket Association, Mehmood Abdi, Saturday charged the president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association, C.P. Joshi, of turning a blind eye to the “illegalities” committed by RCA secretary Sanjay Dixit.
