Midnapore, May 28: Suspected Maoists shot dead three persons, including a woman, and left their bodies on a village road, about 8km from Jhargram town, this morning.

Villagers identified the men as Haren Mahato, 45, and Rohit Mahato, 42, but could not recognise the woman. Her identity is yet to be established.

The CPM’s West Midnapore district secretariat member, Dahareswar Sen, said Haren and Rohit were party supporters who had been abducted and killed.
