Setting sail

Here’s a cool treat to beat the blazing summer heat. Ezeego1.com, an online travel portal, has a promotional Alaskan Wonders cruise on offer — but you’ll have to book in a hurry. Priced at about Rs 63,000 per person on double occupancy basis for nine nights and 10 days, the package includes return economy airfare (Mumbai-Seattle-Mumbai), two-nights accommodation in Seattle, seven-nights cruise accommodation on full-board basis, all transfers and airport and port taxes. Setting sail aboard the Golden Princess of Alaskan Cruises from Seattle port, you’ll visit Juneau, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, Ketchikan and Victoria in Alaska before returning to Seattle. The ship sets sail on June 5. For details, go to www.ezeego1.com.

Holiday hotspot

Queenstown in New Zealand has been my most recent vacation destination. I was shooting there for I Hate Luv Storys by Dharma Productions and had lots of fun trying out a plethora of high octane adventure sports such as sky diving, jet skiing and luging. The Kiwi land is as picturesque as it gets and there were times when I felt like I was living inside a post card. The vibrant colours of the landscape looked straight out of a Photoshop palette and I had a ball hanging out with the cast and crew of the film. Another memorable trip was with a gang of six boisterous cousins in the south of France and Spain. We travelled to places like Barcelona and Ibiza, partying the nights away. Long walks on the golden beaches and a medley of water sports kept us occupied throughout our stay. Switzerland is the place that I am heading to in the first week of June, as soon as the schedule for my latest flick wraps up. This would be a family vacation with 20 people and promises to be one crazy week on the snow clad Alps.
