Fuel price

New Delhi, May 10: An empowered group of ministers (EGoM) headed by finance minister Pranab Mukherjee may meet late next week to decide on freeing petrol and diesel prices from government control. The panel will also decide on ways to deal with the revenue lost on selling domestic LPG and PDS kerosene below cost.

Czech firm

Calcutta, May 10: Czech pollution control major ZZVZEnven Engineering has announced a partnership with city-based Eastern Enviro Care to set up a joint venture to manufacture air pollution control equipment in Bengal. The two firms will finalise plans to set up a manufacturing facility as well as a design and engineering hub in the state over the next 9-12 months.

3G revenue

New Delhi, May 10: Projected revenue from the 3G spectrum sale touched the Rs 54,000-crore mark with the bid for all-India third generation mobile licence rising to Rs 13,474 crore on the twenty-sixth day of the auction today.

Fortis plan

New Delhi, May 10: Fortis Healthcare will raise up to Rs 380 crore by issuing shares on preferential basis to Singapore-based private equity firm GIC Special Investments. The amount will be used to finance the acquisition by the firm or its arms.
