Sex and the city

Here’s a treat for Sex and the City buffs. With the highly anticipated sequel of the film up for release on May 28 this year, the Mandarin Oriental New York is offering an exciting package for all those who swear by the film. At about Rs 80,000 for two people on double occupancy basis, you’ll avail of 5-star accommodation for one night and two days, an American breakfast for two, a complimentary Sex and the City DVD, a private limousine tour of the film’s locations in New York and a round of Sex and the City-inspired cocktails. Airfare to New York, extra meals, sightseeing and taxes are however excluded. The package is valid between May 1 and September 6, 2010, and you can book additional nights at extra charges. You will visit Pastis, the foursome’s favourite brunch eatery, SoHo House, Samantha’s über-chic club and Carrie Bradshaw’s home. And after a long day on the road, you will come home to luxury with a round of exclusive cocktails including a Carrie Cosmo (a mix of pink grapefruit vodka, ginger liqueur, cranberry juice and a dash of lime) or Samantha’s Forbidden Apple with Calvados, apple vodka, cinnamon schnapps and a dash of apple and pomegranate juice. Go to www.lhw.com for more details.

Holiday hotspot

Aditya Anand,
Musician

As a musician, I can work and chill out at the same time wherever I go. My dream destination right now is Brazil because it’s a beautiful country. Not only are the landscape and views absolutely breathtaking, but the people are really nice too. Brazil also has some amazing music, and its people appreciate good music. I’m sure I’ll go there sometime this year. Another place I’d really like to visit is Tibet. I feel a strong spiritual connection to the place and I’d like to go there to simply soak in its beauty and ambience.
