Soumyabrata Das grabbed five for 26 and Shubham Kumar Roy scored an unbeaten 51 as St Thomas Church School defeated St Andrew’s High School by eight wickets in the Boost School Cricket tournament for the Dattu Phadkar Trophy. Batting first, Andrew’s managed only 127. St Thomas scored the required runs in only 24.2 overs.

In another match Burdwan CMS High School beat Bankura Goyenka Vidyayatan by 47 runs. Batting first, Burdwan scored 102 and then bowled Bankura for a paltry 55.

South Calcutta District Badminton Association will organise the West Bengal State Junior Ranking Badminton Championship at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium courts from Wednesday. The finals will be held on Sunday.
