AT HOME IN KERALA

How about a private and exclusive homestay experience for your next holiday or even honeymoon? Mahindra Homestays is offering a discounted package for couples only, combining two homestays in Kerala. Priced at Rs 14,000, the package includes two nights each at The Ranger Woods Homestay in Munnar and at Vembanad House Homestay in Alleppey. Breakfast and dinner are included. So, all you have to do is to get yourself to Kerala. You can choose whether you want to go to Munnar or Alleppey first. In Munnar, you could take walks in the plantations, go fishing, boating or cycling. You could even go for short treks (with packed meals thrown in), paragliding, or visit the tribal colonies nearby. And of course, you get treated to the authentic cuisine of Kerala. In Alleppey, activities such as canoeing, Ayurvedic massages and fishing await you. The hosts will escort you to local temples and even arrange Mohiniattam performances. The transfers between the two destinations can be arranged at an extra cost. The offer is valid till March 31. For bookings, call 18004252737 or go to www.mahindrahomestays.com.

Holiday hotspot

My favourite holiday destination is Kashmir. I went there a few years ago, and I genuinely believe that it is the only true paradise on Earth. An absolutely heavenly place to be in, Kashmir is pristine and beautiful — one has to go there to believe how stunning its landscapes are. Another place that I love going to is Goa — for its beaches and for the vibe the place exudes. I also love playing there. But the list doesn’t end here. I love London. It’s a fantastic place, exuberant and exciting, throbbing with life and awesome music.
