The party: It was to celebrate the premiere of Subhabrato Mitra’s directorial debut Aajker Nayak, starring Arun Chatterjee. At HHI, Tuesday night.

If you’re thinking who Arun and who Subhabrato, well, that’s Prosenjit and Indraneil Sengupta for you. And the star-studded bash was set up by Srijit Mukherjee to shoot a “vital party sequence” for his directorial debut Autograph, starring Prosenjit, Indraneil and Nandana Sen.

The people: Aparna Sen, Madhabi Mukherjee, Sohini Paul, Nondon Bagchi, Birsa Dasgupta and 033 boy Dhruv Mookerji formed the Aajker Nayak party crowd.

What they did: Prosenjit played the happy host as Arun, ushering in Aparna and even introducing her to Indraneil! While the other guests were seated or pottering around the HHI ballroom, this trio had a couple of rehearsals to do before the final take.

What they said: “I’m doing this because I’m very fond of Srijit. He had assisted me in my last film (Iti Mrinalini).... I’m waiting for his instructions now,” smiled Aparna.

“I’m the host in this party. So please divert your attention to my guests!” Prosenjit pleaded with the lensmen who kept tailing him nevertheless.
