SBI jobs

Mumbai, Feb. 20: The State Bank of India is likely to continue its hiring spree in the next fiscal as it plans to recruit around 15,000-20,000 people in fiscal 2011, SBI chairman O.P. Bhatt today said. Meanwhile, the bank is unlikely to raise its lending rates in the next three to four months as hiking rates in a low-demand scenario could hurt its margin.

Air India plan

New Delhi, Feb. 20: Air India is planning to raise its working capital by Rs 1,000 crore in the near future. A decision to this effect is understood to have been taken at a board meeting of the NACIL here today.

Forex kitty

Mumbai, Feb. 20: India’s foreign exchange reserves rose $485 million for the week ended February 12 to $279.2 billion from $278.7 billion in the previous week.
