Shillong, Feb. 9: The general assembly of the Nehu staff today decided to lift the “non-cooperation” with vice-chancellor Pramod Tandon and entrusted the joint action committee to respond to his talks offer.
Tandon has fixed the talks with committee, comprising both the teaching and non-teaching staff, for Thursday.
Committee chairman S.B. Prasad today said they would meet Tandon and urge him to take moral responsibility for the sorry state of affairs in Nehu, which compelled them to agitate. “We hope that the meeting will be cordial to end the current impasse in Nehu as the examinations are round the corner,” he said.
