Theron ‘split’

London, Jan. 31 (PTI): Charlize Theron was recently photographed without the “commitment ring” gifted to her by boyfriend and Irish actor Stuart Townsend, sparking rumours that the couple had split.

The Oscar-winning actress has reportedly told close friends she decided to part ways with Townsend after a Christmas trip to Mexico.

“Stuart is gutted but Charlize said she realised during the Mexican holiday that the relationship was over. They had become more like brother and sister than lovers. It was she who ended it,” a friend of Theron said.
