Calcutta: Trainer Vinayak may call the shots in the 1,200m Calcutta Champions’ Sprint Trophy, Friday’s main attraction. The Mumbai-based trainer has two potential runners — Piato and Ikaria — in the field of 14 aspiring for the trophy.

Piato is known for his blinding speed while Ikaria may find himself at slight disadvantage early in the race. Yet the latter may do the trick in view of his brilliant turn of foot when leaders run out of gas. The C.
