Ranchi, Jan. 19: Students made the state proud by clinching gold and silver medals at the 55th National School Games and 17th International Yoga Championship.
The games was held in December 23-29 while the yoga meet was held at Puducherry between January 4-7. A team of 30 students from the state had left for New Delhi on December 22 for the school games.
After winning four medals at the meet, the team showed their yoga skills in Puducherry. Avinash Kumar bagged gold while Gaurav Kumar bagged silver.
Nandu Dulal Dutta, coach of Jharkhand State Yoga Association, said the overall performance of the students was praiseworthy.
“However, our students need to hone their skills if compared to others from across the country,” Dutta said.
