Jawan killed
Kokrajhar, Jan. 11:
A jawan died and five others were injured when a shell went off during practice at an army firing range in Sukanjuli of Baksa district today. Jawans of the 11 Madras Artillery Regiment were at a routine practice session when the incident took place.
Rescheduled

The 4055 Brahmaputra Mail, scheduled to leave Dibrugarh for New Delhi at 10.45pm on Monday, was rescheduled to leave at 5.30pm on Tuesday.

Dharmeswar Bora died when a truck hit his bicycle on National Highway 37 near Oriagaon under Saddar police station on Monday.
Absu blame
Kokrajhar:
Absu on Monday came down heavily on Kokrajhar police station officer in-charge Haren Das for rejecting its application, seeking permission to stage a demonstration because it was written in the Bodo language.

Nagaon:
