Gurnani upset

Najib Islam upset top seed Harsh Gurnani 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 in a boys’ under-14 quarter final match at the Calcutta Gymkhana AITA Talent Series.

In the girls’ under-18 event, Priyam Periwal shocked fourth seed Tulana Nan 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 .

In a grasscourt meet at the same venue, Manoj Sewa beat Biplab Das 6-3, 6-4 in a quarter final match of the men’s event.
