SAI triumph

Imphal: Sports Authority of India, Regional Centre bagged the overall team title in the 1st State-Level Age Group Cross Country Championship held at Lamsang. SAI tallied 33 points for the title, while North Imphal Sporting Association finished runners-up with 32 points.

Jorhat Open

Guwahati: Priyanuj Lahkar defeated Rupam Gogoi 6-1, 6-2, while Alok Tripathy overcame Sudhanta Mohanty 6-1, 6-2 to book final berths in the ONGCL 19th Jorhat Open State Ranking tennis tournament at Jorhat Tennis Club on Tuesday. In the girls’ under-14 courts Soumaiya Begum set up Wednesday’s title clash with Marisha Dutta.

Guwahati: Ankurjyoti Cricket Academy and Vintage XI A posted emphatic victories in their respective matches of the Servo 17th Guwahati Challenge Trophy cricket tournament at Latasil ground here on Tuesday. Ankurjyoti CA beat Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre B by five wickets, while Vintage tamed River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre by 105 runs.
