Calcutta: The National Grasscourt Championship returns to Calcutta South Club after a gap of one year, from Monday. The Rs 4,50,000 event will witness Indias best in action over the next six days.
Mens and womens top seeds, VM Ranjeet and Rushmi Chakravarthi respectively, have received byes in the first round and will begin their campaign later in the week.
Bengals Saurav Panja and Saurav Sukul will be seen in action on Monday as they take on each other in a mens first-round encounter.
The only other Bengal boy in the main draw is Manoj Kumar Sewa, who plays a lucky loser Monday.
