Exam dates

Guwahati, Nov. 26: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam, on Thursday announced that the HSLC examination and High Madrassa examination would commence from February 19, 2010.

Encounter

Nagaon: An ANLA cadre, Akash Tirki, died in an encounter at Gandhipur under Bokajan police station in Karbi Anglong district on Thursday.

Surrender

Kokrajhar: Six poachers surrendered at the Basbari range of Manas National Park in Baksa district on Thursday.

Dhubri: The BSF killed a smuggler, Jeniar Rahman, on the Jhaler Char border on Wednesday night.
