HDFC stake in Credila

Mumbai, Nov. 13: The Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) today said it would acquire around a 41 per cent stake in the education loan provider Credila Financial Services held by DSP Merrill Lynch Capital. The acquisition of stake is subject to compliance with applicable regulations.

Cox & Kings

Mumbai, Nov. 13: Leading tour and travel operator Cox & Kings has fixed the price band for its IPO at Rs 316-Rs 330 per share. The company hopes to raise around Rs 610 crore from the issue.

Jet union

Mumbai, Nov. 13: Jet Airlines’ pilots union, the National Aviators Guild, was de-registered today by the labour office here for “misrepresentation” of facts, labour commissioner N.V. Palve said.

BA merger

Madrid/London, Nov. 13: British Airways and Spain’s Iberia have announced a preliminary agreement for a $7 billion merger to create the world’s third-largest airline by revenue. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2010.
