Guwahati, Nov. 3: Santosh Jaiswal, the businessman who had sustained bullet injuries when security personnel fired at the car the occupants of which were trying to flee after allegedly abducting a woman on October 21, died at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital this afternoon.

Jaiswal, 34, was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition along with the woman he was accused of kidnapping, Niti Kaur, and the driver of the vehicle, Dileswar Kurmi. He had undergone neuro surgery to remove a bullet embedded below the neck on November 1.
