Train runs over six

Pataudi, Nov. 3 (PTI): The New Delhi-Ajmer Shatabdi today mowed down six people, including a woman and a child, and injured four while the group crossed the tracks.

Local people protested and surrounded the train. The victims were crossing the tracks after a goods train had passed and did not notice the other train approaching, an official said.

Bank fraud

Bhopal (PTI): The cyber crime cell of Madhya Pradesh police arrested three persons, including a Sudanese from Mumbai, for allegedly hacking into an Axis Bank account and transferring Rs 40,000 to the account of one of the accused. The trio withdrew the money using a debit card.

Cub death

Bhopal (PTI): An 11-month-old tiger cub has been found dead at the Kanha tiger reserve in eastern Madhya Pradesh. The cub had been injured in a fight with a tiger. The post-mortem confirmed the cause of the injuries, an official said. This is the second cub death at the reserve in two months.

Amar warrant

New Delhi (PTI): A Delhi court has issued a bailable warrant against Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh for failing to depose in a two-year-old cheating case. Singh is a complainant in the case and had repeatedly failed to appear for the recording of his statement. He had been granted exemptions for his poor health.

Robber shot

Morena (PTI): A robber, carrying a reward of Rs 15,000 on his head, was killed in a police encounter on Monday in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. Rajendra Gujjar was killed on the spot, police said. Two members of his gang escaped.

Road protest

Sivaganga (PTI): Traffic was disrupted in Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday after relatives of a 16-year-old girl, who died allegedly from a snakebite, blocked the road. The relatives alleged the girl was not provided proper treatment at the hospital where she was admitted.
