Man dies in GMCH
Guwahati, Nov. 2:
An unknown man was found lying dead on the GMCH premises today. Police have prima facie ruled out any foul play as no injury mark was found on the body. The man appeared to be in his forties.
Karbi bandh
Nagaon:
The KLNLF has called a 12-hour Karbi Anglong district bandh on Wednesday. It has been observing a bandh on this day every year in protest against the killing of social worker Hari Teron by security forces in 1997.
Frauds held
Dibrugarh:
Kuldip Singh and Ranjit Singh were arrested by Dhemaji police from a hotel at Dhemaji Chariali on Monday for impersonating CBI officers.
Trio arrested
Dibrugarh:
Shankar Mukherjee, Arindam Dey and Abhijit Lahiri were arrested by Dibrugarh police on Sunday from Guwahati for allegedly duping customers. The trio, owners of a fake micro-finance company, have their office in Dibrugarh.
Ganja seized
Dhubri:
Around 27kg Manipuri ganja was seized by railway police from the Down Kamrup Express at Barpeta Road station on Monday.
