Joga wins two golds

Calcutta: Joga Singh of the Army clinched the gold in the men’s standard pistol event at the XIX All-India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championships held at the Asansol Rifle Club. Joga won with a score of 268 while Girish SS (262) of the BSF and Parminder Singh (262) of the Army won the silver and the bronze respectively.

Joga was also the winner in the standard pistol for junior men (services).

In the men’s air pistol Rakesh Singh Rawat of Uttarakhand won the gold with 371 points. Sanil Banerjee of OFSC and Bhakti Rana of Haryana were the silver and bronze medal winners respectively.

V Vani of Tamil Nadu won the women’s air pistol while Baljinder Kaur of the BSF won the junior women’s air pistol.
