SAIL rules out price hike
New Delhi, Oct. 23: SAIL today ruled out any increase in the prices of its products in November, citing stable market conditions. On increase in input cost because of coal price hike, chairman S.K. Roongta said, “Prices are determined by the market and (not by immediate input cost pressure).”
Fuel rates
New Delhi, Oct. 23: Petrol and diesel prices are set to rise by Rs 0.07 and Rs 0.04, respectively, from Monday as the government has increased the commission given to dealers. The commission on petrol has been increased to Rs 1,098 per kilolitre and that on diesel to Rs 670.
Malta office
Calcutta, Oct. 23: Malta plans to open a consulate office in Calcutta within a year. This will be the third consulate office in India after Mumbai and Chennai.

New Delhi, Oct. 23: Auditing firm Price Waterhouse has decided to seek a consent order from Sebi in the cases related to the Rs 7,100-crore accounting fraud at Satyam Computer Services.
