NSG black uniform

New Delhi, Oct. 21 (PTI): The National Security Guard will take penal action against organisations and individuals using black uniforms similar to those prescribed for its Black Cat commandos.

The NSG is worried about the rampant use of black uniforms by private security agencies and the special units of various state police forces.

Parliament

New Delhi (PTI): The winter session of Parliament will be held from November 19 to December 22. The session will have 24 sittings.

No to Ghandy

New Delhi (PTI): A Delhi court has rejected the bail plea of Maoist leader Khobad Ghandy and asked AIIMS to find out whether he was medically fit to undergo a narco-analysis test.

Aussie jail

Melbourne (PTI): An Australian youth who fled to India on a fake passport in a bid to escape an eight-year jail term for kidnapping his girlfriend, has been sentenced to an additional six months. Julian Buchwald had coloured his hair black and tanned his face before escaping.

Rape arrest

Jaipur: A guesthouse owner freed three months into a life sentence for raping a British tourist has been arrested. Parbat Singh Rana, 32, had sneaked into his Udaipur hotel to offer the woman a blanket and assaulted her in 2007.
