Dhanbad: Hosts Jharkhand made an emphatic start in the East Zone T20 meet by registering a convincing win over Tripura in a one-sided opening match at the Railway Stadium Tuesday.

Having won the toss, Jharkhand put Tripura into bat and the visitors were bundled out for a paltry 30. In reply, Jharkhand reached the target without any loss in 3.2 overs. Mihir Diwakar of Jharkhand displayed some splendid bowling, claiming 5 wickets for 6 runs. Tripura were bundled out in 11.2 overs.
