Two hurt in clash

Lakhimpur, Sept. 29: Two persons were injured when two groups of people clashed while taking Durga idols for immersion near Ganesh Mandir in Lakhimpur town yesterday. Police have arrested nearly 10 people for interrogation.

Man dead

Diphu: One person died and 33 were injured when a tractor overturned in the Mailo area under Kheroni police station on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Birendra Choudhury, 45.

40 injured

Accident

Nagaon: Suren Bora, 50, died in the Puranigodam area when a Nagaon-bound bus hit him while he was crossing the road.

Suicide

Nagaon: Pranjal Goswami, 30, committed suicide on Tuesday at his residence in Puranigodam. He was working as an accountant at RD Motors, Nagaon.
