Ranchi, Sept. 6: Jharkhand Keshari 2009 crown went to Ranchi’s Rajan Kumar Singh at the 10th state senior wrestling championship that concluded at Indoor Wrestling Stadium of Mega Sports Complex, Hotwar, today.

Rajan defeated Mukesh Kumar of Palamau by scoring five points.

The Jharkhand Kumar 2009 title was bagged by Vipin Kumar of Dhanbad, who defeated Palamau’s Umesh Kumar Yadav while Jharkhand Kishore 2009 was won by Ramashrya Singh Yadav of Dhanbad.

Gumla’s Rekha Barwa won the Jharkhand Kumari 2009 crown by defeating Sahebganj’s Sabita Kumari by five points to nil while the Jharkhand Mahila Keshari 2009 title went to Sabita Kumari of Garhwa .

“In this championship, 412 wrestlers including 148 women from 20 districts participated,” said Bhola Nath Singh, the secretary of Jharkhand State Wrestling Association (JSWA).
