Calcutta, July 28: The government today shuffled several IAS and IPS officers.

G.D. Gautama will be the new power secretary. C.M. Bachawat will replace finance secretary Dipankar Mukherjee, who will go to the urban development department. Chief electoral officer Debashis Sen will be the Power Development Corporation MD. Calcutta Municipal Corporation commissioner Alapan Bandopadhyay will be the new municipal affairs secretary.

IPS officers Raj Kanojia, R.K. Pachnanda, A.K. Maliwal and Banibrata Basu have been made additional directors-general. Partha Bhattacharyya and R.S. Rawat will be DGs.
