New Delhi: In the Wimbledon ladies’ singles, India’s Sania Mirza has been drawn to play against Germany’s World No. 51 AnnaLena Groenefeld in the first round.

In doubles, Sania and her Taipei partner ChiaJung Chuang, seeded 15th, will take on the unseeded American pair of Jill Craybas and Carly Gullickson.

Somdev Dev Varman f will be making his Grand Slam debut against compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi and his partner Mark Knowles, the fourth seeds. The French Open winners and third seeds Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy, will take on Americans James Blake and Mardy Fish in the first round.The Indo-Pakistan qualifying pair of Prakash Amritraj and AisamulHaq Qureshi will open their campaign against 16th seeds, Stephen Huss of Australia and Briton Ross Hutchins.
