Bollywood dreams

The biggest turning point of my life was when I signed my first film Kal Kissne Dekha — it’s ready for release. I began my career in the limelight with modelling. While studying in Bangalore, I used to do ramp shows and other small assignments. In 2004, the Ponds Dreamflower commercial happened. People started noticing me after that.

The next major milestone for me was in 2005 when I participated in the Miss India contest. I was among the final 10 and was selected to participate in the Miss India International contest held in Tokyo that year. Unfortunately, I developed an eye infection and couldn’t go. But the very next year, I worked with big names for the Dhaka Fashion Week. I also had a great experience working in three music videos for Euphoria.

In 2007, I took on commercials like Raymonds and Tanishq. I also participated in the Lakme Fashion Week that year and worked with designers like Rocky S., Manish Arora, Savio Jon and Ritu Beri. And soon after, the Sunfeast ad with Shah Rukh Khan came along!

I am very excited about the release of Kal Kissne Dekha opposite Vashu Bhagnani’s son, Jackie Bhagnani. It was fun shooting for this movie in different locations. Besides, being in the film industry brings back memories of my grand-uncle, Manmohan Desai. I used to call him Big Dad. I hope I can become as successful as he was someday.
