Rs 2 lakh looted
Nagaon, May 20:
Four vehicles were looted by dacoits today at Bogoritoli in Nagaon. The vehicles were going from Meghalaya to Doboka. A sum of Rs 2 lakh was looted from passengers who were also beaten up.
Bomb found
Dhekiajuli:
A 3kg bomb was recovered from a public bus at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district on Wednesday.
Memorandum
Dhubri:
The Dhubri district unit of All Koch Rajbongshi Students Union on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Dhubri deputy commissioner, urging him to take stern action against cattle being transported through the Chagolia inter-state checkgate without valid papers.
3 shot dead
Kokrajhar:
Three NDFB rebels were shot dead in an encounter at Gandhibari Dekipota in Baksa district on Tuesday.
Robbers held
Dhubri:
Three dacoits were arrested on Tuesday night in connection with a robbery on May 16 at a stationery shop of Sonamukhi under Chapor police station of Dhubri district.
Injured
Imphal:
A migrant labourer, Banu Yadav, sustained minor injuries when two motorcycle borne gunmen fired at a passing jeep in Yumnam Huidrom in Imphal East on Tuesday.
