Smuggler held
Dhubri, May 6:
A ganja trafficker, Rofiqul Alom, was apprehended by the 21 battalion of the BSF from Jordanga border area under Mancachar police station of Dhubri district today, BSF sources said.
Seized
Dhubri:
A total of 11 cattleheads worth Rs 2.5 lakh was seized on Wednesday at Sishumara border by the 21 battalion of the BSF in Dhubri as they were being smuggled out to Bangladesh.
Primate freed
Karimganj:
The Karimganj forest office will release a slow loris, a primate, in the Barail hill range. It was captured on Tuesday by the villagers at Ghandherpar under Nilambazar block in Karimganj and handed over to Karimganj forest office on Wednesday.

Bangladeshi
Dhubri:
A Bangladeshi national, Rahim Sheikh Badsah, 23, was arrested jointly by police and the BSF in Mancachar under Dhubri district on Wednesday.
