Govt jobs fraud

New Delhi, April 24 (PTI): An organisation posing as a central government agency conducted an entrance test on March 1. Its website has pictures of the Prime Minister and agriculture minister Sharad Pawar.

The organisation had advertised job openings last year under the name Central Agriculture Research Centre and had announced results. The fraud has been detected by the ministry.

Chawla guard

New Delhi (PTI): The Union home ministry has allowed chief election commissioner Navin Chawla to take his armed personal security officer on civilian flights. Chawla, 64, is the first bureaucrat to get such a security arrangement.

UK Slumdog

London (PTI): Slumdog Millionaire child actors Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Mohammed have been invited to visit the House of Commons by NRI Labour MP Keith Vaz. The legislator has also invited the child actors to a tea party in June to meet their fans in the UK.

Kasab tests

Mumbai: The special court hearing the Mumbai terror attacks trial has ordered ossification and dental tests on prime accused Ajmal Kasab to determine if he is a juvenile as the defence earlier claimed. A radiologist and a dentist will carry out the tests and submit a report on April 28.
