CBI probe demand for paper leak

Ranchi, April 18: City based educationist Sunil Kumar has sought a CBI probe into reports of question paper leak for Intermediate exams.

Kumar, in a public interest litigation filed before the high court today, accused the Jharkhand Academic Council and Earnest Publication, a private publication agency, of leaking questions before the exams.

The council had decided on the CBSE pattern of exams and marking of papers to provide similar opportunities to students pursuing an Intermediate course in colleges. The council had released sample question papers last year for students to understand the marking that questions carry in exams.

“Not only are the questions similar, the numericals and digits in a guidebook, Saransh Saj Prashnauttar, published by Earnest Publications, are exactly similar to the one printed in the question papers. This proves that there has been a leak and questions were circulated much before the exams,” Kumar said in his petition.
