Bomb recovered
Dhemaji, March 16:
Police recovered a bomb from a vegetable bag kept inside the Down 7062 passenger train plying between Morkokgseleng and Rangia, at Jonai in Dhemaji district today.
Cop killed
Golaghat:
A policeman was killed while another was injured when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a Bolero on National Highway 37 near Behora tea estate in Golaghat at 3.30pm on Monday.
Leopard
Dhubri:
Mahuruddin Ali and Babul Sheikh of Joypur forest village in Goalpara district were injured when a leopard attacked them on Monday morning.
Accusation
Imphal:
The United National Liberation Front has accused the state police commandos of killing two of its cadres after they were arrested on March 10. Police said the two were killed in an encounter.
Fire
Dhubri:
Four residential houses were gutted in a fire that broke out in the Balurchar area in Dhubri town late Sunday. Two fire tenders were engaged for nearly four hours to douse the fire. There was no casualty.
