Kohima, March 15:
Concerned over forest fires in many parts of Nagaland this year, the state government has ordered the forest authorities to take adequate measures to check destruction of flora and fauna. In a notification issued by Nagaland commissioner H. K. Khulu on Saturday, village authorities and town councils have been asked to check forest fires in their respective jurisdictions.

The Ex-BLT Welfare Society on Sunday called for a six-hour Karbi Anglong bandh from 5am on Monday in protest against the killing of its cadre Lanka Basumatary by suspected NDFB militants on Friday.
Kidnapped
