My favourite holiday

Suman Mukhopaddhyay,
director

My most memorable holiday is my trip to the Kankrajhor forest in 1998. I was driving through the forest and as I took a turn, there was a huge elephant right in front of us. Though it was standing quite still, I panicked and tried to reverse the car. It fell into a big hole and half-overturned. My friends and I then very foolishly got out of the car to walk through the forest till we reached a village. Thankfully, the tusker, which was actually a rogue elephant, did not chase us. We were severely reprimanded by the beat officer who told us that it could have cost us our lives.
