120 buses for city
The Mass Rapid Transport System Committee has sanctioned 1,200 buses for Calcutta at Rs 360 crore, external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee said on Sunday at the launch of East-West Metro.
Boy found
A 13-month-old boy, who went missing from a Ultadanga shanty on Wednesday, was found in Cuttack on Saturday night. Rakesh Mandal, who lives in the shanty, allegedly kidnapped the boy.
Girl rescued
A man was arrested at Park Circus station on Saturday night for allegedly trying to kidnap five-year-old Anjali Joseph, a Tiljala resident.
Power supply
Power supply may be affected in Sinthee, Kalicharan Ghosh Road, Chitpur, Atapara, Shyambazar, Sabjee Bagan, Bidhan Park, Beldanga, AK Mukherjee Road, Seven Tanks, Raja Dinendra Street and RG Kar Road between 9am and 10am on Monday because of maintenance.
