Body found

The body of an unidentified vagrant was found on a pavement in Manipuri Basti on Friday. He had been hit on the head in the wee hours, fuelling speculation that he may be the latest victim of the “serial killer/s”.

Man dies

Avinash Nath, 35, died after his driver, Dip Raj Gogoi, allegedly pushed him off the balcony of his house at Manik Nagar on Thursday night.

Ganja seized

The GRP arrested Akhera Bewa, 45, after 5kg ganja was found on him at Guwahati railway station on Friday.

Remand

Two car thieves, Mohammad Abbas Ali and Nuruddin Ali, were remanded in police custody for three days after being produced in court on Friday.

Arrest
