Bullet death
A 35-year-old man, Jogendra Yadav, died of a bullet wound which he had sustained at Birubari on Tuesday evening. Yadav had gone to the residence of his friend Pranay Rabha to show an illegal pistol he had purchased recently. When Yadav was showing his pistol, it misfired and the bullet hit him, Rabha told the police.
Arrest
Police on Tuesday arrested an official of the state forest department, R.K. Sharma, from Six Mile in connection with a case registered against him under Negotiable Instruments Act. Sharma was later released on bail.
