Chic homes to luxury goods

Ranchi, Jan. 23: It is not about clothes alone. There is plenty to choose from at The Telegraph Wedding Fair. And those who love shopping at the metros, won’t have a reason to complain.

Samsung Plaza introduced visitors to a variety of luxurious home appliances. Real estate, too, is a highlight at the fair. Kashish Developers are promoting SAIL City that offers new homes to the newly weds. With houses on sale, could cars be behind? City-based houses Bajaj Automobiles promoted Indica Vista, a new entrant in the automobile market. Basudeb Automobiles showcased the new Fiat Linea at the fair, too.

Wedding cards displayed innovation at its best. “Our exclusively designed wedding cards were works of indigenous artists from the region. Moreover, we are stocking imported furniture from Singapore, too. And rococo designs are a complete sell-out here,” said Lokesh Sahu, the owner of the kiosk under Saroj Cards.

And the usual wedding garments were a hit with the ladies. Designer saris and bridal accessories in silk, zardosi and chiffon ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000 were on display at the Todi Saris counter. Jaweb Habib’s grooming products were also available on sale. “I am so happy to know that a world class ladies salon will also be opening in the city,” said Ranjita Choudhary, a visitor, who was at the Habib counter. Here one could also buy cosmetics and bridal make-up packages.

Hotel Arya had a kiosk, too, where one could make bookings for catering services. The fair will conclude tomorrow with a fashion show and DJ night. The fair, recorded a footfall of around 2,000 through the day, will continue tommorow as well.
