Fracture flurry

London, Jan. 23: A plotline about a man with a “broken penis” in the US hospital drama Grey’s Anatomy has sparked a flurry of queries on Internet search engines by worried men, reports The Daily Telegraph.

According to the search engine Google, two of the three most searched terms at present are “penile fracture” and “broken penis”.

It follows an episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Stairway to Heaven, screened in the US on Thursday, in which consultant Mark Sloan — otherwise known as McSteamy — suffered a fractured penis after indulging in illicit sex in the on-call room with Lexie Grey.

Goop club

London: Gwyneth Paltrow has set up a “Hollywood book club” with members including Madonna and the model Christy Turlington, reports The Daily Telegraph. The actress has asked some of her closest friends, including the Material Girl, to list their favourite books for a feature encouraging visitors to her Goop.com lifestyle website to read more as a cheap pastime during the cold, winter months. She introduces the recently-divorced singer saying: “Madonna Ciccone rules the world, is a loyal friend and a terrific mother”. Also featured in the reading list are Turlington and her best friend Abby Kane.
