Bhuvneshwar: Will cherish Sachin scalp

Hyderabad: More than the five-wicket haul, Uttar Pradesh pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar Monday said he would cherish master batsman Sachin Tendulkar’s wicket on the opening day of the Ranji Trophy Super League final.

Bhuvneshwar picked up five of the six Mumbai wickets on the opening day.

Among the batsmen Bhuvneshwar dismissed was Sachin, who went for a duck. The pacer ended the day with figures of 5/64.

“The pitch contributed to my spell. I will cherish the moment, particularly getting the big wicket of Tendulkar,” he said after the end of day’s play.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma hoped his partnership with Abhishek Nayar would come in handy for Mumbai.

“It’s a lucky ground for me… UP has a good bowling attack. We needed to do well together,” Rohit said. (PTI)
